Life is stressful. When there is no time for a walk or a massage, there is time for hand reflexology. In a meeting, at a stop sign, or when talking on the phone. What does hand reflexology have to do with stress reduction? Using the touch points of reflexology on our hands, we can calm ourselves by reflexing our solar plexis or adrenal reflex points and much more. And we can teach our clients to do the same. Come join us to learn how your hands can soothe and reduce anxiety and stress.
Presenters are:

Nancie Hines, M.A. Marriage and Family Therapist and National Board Certified Reflexologist. Nancie practices reflexology in Portland and Lake Oswego. She is the 5th reflexologist in the state to pass the national board certification exam. Since opening Portland Reflexology, Nancie has helped reduce stress and increased balance and harmony using the touch points of reflexology on hands and feet; she is passionate about teaching others how to do the same.

Louise Bauschard, LCSW, is Founder of Voices Set Free, and a nationally recognized battered women's rights advocate. Louise has implemented innovative programs and services to help women caught in the criminal justice system gain help for themselves and their families. Louise has counseled hundreds of abused women through their difficulties in courtrooms, custody hearings, homicide trials, incarceration, clemency petitions, and re-entry. Louise invited Nancie to bring reflexology to inmates as part of the volunteer program. Women at the Community Corrections Center have reported that these sessions helped them cope better during their incarceration and helped lower anxiety and stress being separated from their families.
