Finding Our Voice, Sharing Our Vision
The Family Justice Initiative is a collaboration of community agencies in Washington County. Our partners include Voices Set Free, Youth Contact, Portland State University, Children's Justice Alliance, Washington County Cooperative Library Services, and Washington County Community Corrections. We are funded by United Way of the Columbia-Willamette.
Our goal is to help children of justice-involved families to overcome barriers to success, by helping them and their families to access essential services and also to repair broken bonds of family attachment. We seek to assist all affected parties, including children, interim caregivers, justice-involved parents, and agencies working with any of these people. We believe that healing and restoration is always possible, and that the entire community has a stake in helping justice-involved families heal.
